Job summary

Virginia Heart in Falls Church, VA is seeking a dependable Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing nuclear cardiology team in a part-time, non-exempt role supporting both Cardiac SPECT and Cardiac PET/CT imaging.

You will perform SPECT MPI and assist in Cardiac PET/CT across our outpatient locations, with cross-training available to expand your skills; prior Cardiac PET experience is preferred but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist — NMTCB or ARRT(N)
• Experience performing nuclear medicine imaging
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability, accountability, and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently while recognizing when collaboration or escalation is needed

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality Cardiac SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging.
• Prepare, educate, position, and monitor patients during imaging and stress testing.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
• Operate gamma camera systems and perform daily quality control.
• Review images for technical quality and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain documentation of procedures, doses, and patient information.
