Job summary

Cardiovascular Specialists of New England is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outpatient team. You will deliver safe patient care during Nuclear Cardiology procedures, collaborating with RNs and MDs to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• PET preferred and SPECT required.
• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• State licensure in good standing required.
• ARRT Registered or NMTCB Certified required.
• Basic Life Support (ACLS preferred) required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure and documents information for licensed practitioner.
• Prepares patient for procedures and helps obtain cooperation while minimizing anxiety.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed, per state law and policy.
• Operates radiation detection and imaging equipment for procedures.
• Positions patient and equipment to optimize imaging and comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Evaluates images and data for technical quality.
• Assists in staffing other clinics when needed.
• Performs other related duties to support mission.
