Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Records quality information while performing imaging and following protocols.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to patients or family.
• Confirms physician requests and evaluates patient history for indicators/contraindications.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Operates equipment used to perform echocardiograms.
• Maintains patient medical records.
• Organizes the three stages of reporting: study completion, interpretation, and final report.
• Submits final reports to nursing units, physician offices, or medical records as requested.
• Performs portable echocardiograms.
• Takes call, works weekends and rotates holidays as needed.
