Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville Echocardiography department is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer I-IV to perform routine and complex echocardiograms, including Doppler, 2D/3D, and transesophageal studies. You will work across locations, maintain equipment, and contribute to patient care and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid sonography credentials (ARRT(S), RDMS, RDCS) through ARRT/ARDMS.
• Must be registered in appropriate cardiology specialties within one year of hire.
• Completion of CPR/BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms per physician request.
• Record quality information and follow guidelines/protocols.
• Explain procedures and possible side effects to patients/families.
• Provide echocardiography service at multiple locations and on-call as scheduled.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment and transducers.
• Prepare preliminary reports for Cardiologist review.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain logs/records.
• Attend Echo Lab meetings and continuing education.
• Work weekends, holidays and on-call as needed.
• Cultivate collaborative department environment.
