Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to expertly perform echocardiograms and deliver patient-centered imaging services. The role requires maintaining equipment, documenting results, and communicating clearly with physicians and families.

The position includes a sign-on bonus eligibility and opportunities for career development across levels I–IV, with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday hours, and weekend/on-call coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Valid sonography credential registration (ARRT(S), RDMS, RDCS) within one year of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D/3D, Doppler, TEE, stress) per protocols.
• Record quality information and follow procedural guidelines.
• Explain procedures and potential side effects to patients or families.
• Provide echocardiography service at multiple locations, including portable/onsite shifts and on-call.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions; perform minor repairs as needed.
