Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echoes with attention to accurate imaging and patient comfort. The role supports physicians by providing quality studies and collaborating to ensure optimal patient care.

The position is part-time (24 hours per week), with a rotating weekend schedule, and eligibility for a sign-on bonus based on qualifications and policy. Training and ongoing development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of cardiac ultrasound training program required.
• RDCS certification/registry within 1 year of employment required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Records quality information while performing echocardiographic imaging and following procedures.
• Explains procedures and potential side effects to patients or family.
• Confirms physician requests and evaluates history for proper indicators and contraindications.
