Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Indiana is seeking a part-time radiologic technologist to perform imaging procedures and ensure patient care. The role requires ARRT certification and relevant education as described.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of two/three years of occupationally specific education beyond high school in radiologic technology, sonography, or related education, or on-the-job training.
• Licensure: ARRT, ARDMS, RDCS, RCVT, RVT or equivalent certification; Registry eligible candidates must obtain registry status within 2 years of hire; CPR certification.
• Experience: Completion of at least two years of occupationally specific education beyond high school in radiologic technology, sonography, or related education, or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient charts prior to procedure and pulls previous echocardiograms; transesophageal procedures will be pulled for review by interpreting physician.
• Explains diagnostic procedures and answers patient questions prior to testing; documents patient history and medications on patient chart.
• Measures and records dimensions of heart structures according to established procedures.
• Assists physician during transesophageal and stress echo procedures.
