Job summary

Corewell Health in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography studies including stress, TEE and TTE and to prepare data for review by medical staff. The role requires an ultrasound degree and ARDMS/RDCS credentials.

You will review charts, perform ultrasound testing, document results in EMR and hospital systems, and participate in QA meetings while pursuing ongoing education in cardiac sonography.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
• Echo knowledge including TTE, TEE, Doppler, color Doppler.
• RDCS or ARDMS registered credentials required.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Familiarity with two-dimensional echo and congenital heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient chart and selects the most appropriate procedural methods.
• Performs ultrasound tests (TTE/TEE) and calculates measurements per protocol.
• Documents exam performance in electronic medical record and hospital system.
• Attends staff, QA meetings and participates in team activities.
• Communicates procedures and equipment details to patients and care team.
• Calculates data and prepares materials for staff interpretation.
• Engages in ongoing education in Cardiac Sonography and maintains professional memberships.

Education

Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
