Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to support CV Imaging during the evening schedule. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, performing diagnostic exams, and providing patient care across age groups in a collaborative imaging team.

Education required is an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; no prior experience is required. BCLS certification on hire is required.

• Graduate of AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clinical collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities:

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
