Job summary

BB Imaging in Largo, FL is seeking an experienced Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer for PRN shifts. You will perform General, Echo and Vascular scans across multiple clinic sites, commuting as needed to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.

You will collaborate with physicians, review charts, and generate patient reports. A CAAHEP-accredited program graduate with RDCS/RCS/RCCS and vascular ultrasound experience is required; HIPAA compliance and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS/RCCS) certification.
• Experience performing vascular ultrasound exams.
• Knowledge of anatomy and ultrasound terminology.
• HIPAA compliant with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic scans for General, Echo and Vascular modalities.
• Commute to various clinic sites within the assigned area.
• Inspect and review patient charts, reports, labs and history.
• Create patient reports to assist physician documentation.
• Evaluate sonograms to identify cardiac/vascular findings.
• Communicate findings to physicians clearly.
• Maintain equipment, report errors, and restock supplies.
• Cover outreach clinics and extended commute as needed.
• Participate in CMEs to expand knowledge.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Perform sonographic scans for multiple modalities: General, Echo and Vascular
• Commute to various clinic sites in assigned area.
• Inspectand reviewpatient charts,reports, labresults, and medical history.
• Create patient reportsto assist the physician with documentation.
• Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule-out cardiac/vascular anomalies.
• Communicate sonographic findings to physician.
• Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
• Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
• Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times.
• Increaseyour knowledge of diseases and new proceduresthrough CMEs.
• Other duties assigned by managers.

IS THIS YOU?

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)(RCS)(RCCS)
• Experience performing vascular ultrasound exams
• Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related specialty
• Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound
• Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future

DO YOU SCORE ANY BONUS POINTS?

• Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
