Job summary

Mercy Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Navigator for Cardiac Physicians at the Marshall Nemer Pavilion in Kentucky. The RN Navigator guides patients through the healthcare system, helps with scheduling, reduces barriers to care, and coordinates across multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.

Required is an RN license and 3 years of direct patient care experience; a BSN is preferred, with BLS and oncology/breast health navigation credentials considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
• Licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire, must obtain before direct patient care at BSMH/RSFH.

Responsibilities

• Guides patients through diagnoses, treatment options, and healthcare processes.
• Acts as liaison between patients and care providers to coordinate care.
• Assists with scheduling, discharge planning, and connecting patients to community resources.
• Monitors patient progress and communicates with the care team to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Supports patient education programs and involvement in quality improvement initiatives.
