Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to apply evidence-based knowledge and nursing processes from assessment to evaluation, ensuring safe and effective patient care in a designated unit.

The role emphasizes participation in quality improvement, staff orientation, and adherence to hospital policies while supporting unit goals and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year of Cardiac Critical Care experience preferred.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• AHA ACLS Provider required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with oversight of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinate patient/family and health team involvement in care, including discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to health team members.
• Assist Leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in improvement of services.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff.
