Job summary

Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is seeking a qualified Cardiac Rehabilitation professional to deliver comprehensive rehab services. The role covers all phases of rehab, develops exercise prescriptions, and educates patients within a supportive team.

A Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field is required, with a Master’s preferred and BLS certification on hire. Experience in cardiac rehab, a 2-year minimum or 600-hour internship, and ACSM/CVPR certifications within 1 year are highly

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field.
• Master's degree is preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience or completion of a 600-hour clinical internship in cardiac rehab may be required depending on site.
• Current BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS certification preferred (may be required at specific sites).
• ACSM CCEP or AACVPR CCRP certification within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides all aspects of phases I–III cardiac rehabilitation.
• Develops, implements and evaluates exercise prescriptions and sessions for cardiac/pulmonary rehab and other chronic illnesses.
• Creates educational materials and educates patients referred to the rehab program.
• Plans and participates in events, projects, and departmental improvement initiatives related to the rehab department.
• Supervises cardiovascular stress tests to obtain reliable data.
• Provides services such as EECP and holter monitoring.
