Job summary

Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Exercise Specialist to educate and counsel patients with heart disease and other conditions. You will develop and modify exercise prescriptions, lead and demonstrate exercise, and supervise patients in cardiac rehab and community programs.

The role requires ACLS and BCLS within 30 days of start date, CCRP within 2 years, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS required within 30 days of employment start date.
• (CCRP) certification required within 2 years of employment start date.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Educates and counsels patients regarding exercise, smoking cessation, nutrition, stress management and healthy lifestyles.
• Develops and modifies exercise prescriptions and supervises patients in exercise classes.
• Provides supervision and support for the cardiac rehabilitation program and community exercise initiatives.
