Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or relevant field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• ACSM Certification or other Exercise Science certification preferred.
• 0–6 months related experience.
• Ability to complete dysrhythmia class.
• Ability to respond calmly to medical emergencies and prioritize workflow.
• Ability to utilize PC and software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform ECG skills and work with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assist patients undergoing diagnostic testing with exercise modalities.
• Report medical symptoms to a nurse or licensed provider.
• Educate patients using best practice in exercise science.
• Develop materials to enhance patient education and teach classes when required.
• Document data on equipment used in patient care services.
• Assist with equipment maintenance as directed.
• Support unit goals by attending inservices and completing variance reports.
