Job summary

Corewell Health - Trenton Hospital in Michigan is seeking a part-time Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist to deliver comprehensive rehab for patients across all phases of care. The role includes designing exercise prescriptions, patient education, and participation in program development.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field, current BLS, and 2 years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree and advanced certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field.
• Current BLS Certification required upon hire.
• ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within 1 year of employment.
• 2 years of relevant experience; 600-hour clinical internship may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide all aspects of phases I–III cardiac rehabilitation, including exercise prescriptions and sessions.
• Create educational materials and educate patients in cardio/pulmonary rehab and referring programs.
• Supervise cardiovascular stress tests to obtain reliable data.
• Provide additional services such as EECP and holter monitoring as needed.
