Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist II to manage the exercise component of the cardiopulmonary program. You will review patient history, develop and monitor exercise prescriptions, and educate patients on activity and safety.

This role includes mentoring new team members and participating in program evaluations. Prerequisites include a Bachelor's in Exercise Science/Physiology, with a preferred Master's, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Exercise Physiology required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Credentialing in life support or clinical certification preferred (ACLS/PALS as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and exercise history; set goals with target heart rate and risk stratification.
• Educate patients on self-monitoring THR and RPE.
• Write clinic exercise prescriptions and document responses (heart rate, ECG, symptoms).
• Perform six-minute walk tests and document findings.
• Provide home-exercise guidelines and follow-up after evaluations.
• Maintain monthly updates to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
• Support and supervise Clinic Student University Internship program.
