Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Pulmonary Medicine unit (11W). The role supports RNs in direct and indirect patient care, including newborn and post-op duties, while maintaining safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification or enrollment in School of Nursing.
• Current CPR certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• Annual Health and Safety Training quizzes must be completed with at least 90%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Record vitals and basic assessments.
• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision; monitor and respond to patient needs.
• Support newborn/infant care as directed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized patient care areas.
