Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, seeks a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care. The 44-bed unit handles trauma, neurosciences, surgery, and oncology stepdown. You will provide pre- and post-operative care, advocate for patients, and collaborate with medical providers to ensure exemplary patient experiences.

Required BSN or enrollment with a 5-year path to BSN, NC nursing licensure (eNLC allowed), BLS, and at least 1 year of nursing experience. Masters in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing or enrollment with intent to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• RN licensure in NC or eNLC; licensure must be current.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• One year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with physicians.
• Advocate for patients to ensure an unparalleled patient experience.
• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift and report changes.
• Document care administration and monitor medication responses.
