Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with the health care team. The RN applies the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care and participates in performance improvement and discharge planning.

You will provide direct care, mentor staff, and communicate plan of care to the health team while supporting safety and quality initiatives across the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• AHA ACLS Provider required within 6 months.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team in care & discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to other health team members.
• Participate in improvement of patient care services.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and serve as a resource on policies.
