Job summary

The incumbent will maintain equipment and documentation per regulatory standards, with about 90% perfusion duties and 10% cell saver tasks, collaborating closely with the surgical team and ICU staff.

Qualifications

• Appropriate health science degree or related field.
• CAHEA-accredited program graduation.
• Current perfusionist licensure.

Responsibilities

• Select perfusion circuit and prime solution per patient and procedure.
• Prepare circuit components for cardiopulmonary bypass.
• Ensure safety and function of heart-lung machine and related equipment.
• Manage patient on bypass, including pharmacological interventions and pump physiology.
• Understand conduct of the surgical procedure.
