Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a patient care technician to join our team for night shifts. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 6:30pm–7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities include supporting nursing staff, documenting procedures, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced acute care setting. Required CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/PCT-C or EMT and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• CNA, CPCT/A, NCPCT, PCT-C or EMT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under RN supervision.
• Document procedures per policy.
• Maintain clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health care team.
• Follow isolation guidelines and safety regulations.
