Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, IL is hiring a Patient Care Technician. Schedule is full-time days, 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends/holidays.

Eligible applicants may receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus and will provide bedside patient care under RN supervision, while maintaining safety and documentation standards. Required High School diploma or equivalent, and various CNA/CPCT/A/NCCT/NCPCT certifications tied to patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA, CPCT/A, NCCT NCPCT, AMCA PCT-C and EMT certifications preferred.
• BLS certification required; previous bedside patient care in acute care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Document and report procedures per department policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment.
• Assist in obtaining nursing history and identifying patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare team.
