Job summary

Advocate Health's Cardiology division in Park Ridge seeks a skilled Cardiac Sonographer for outpatient echocardiography. You will perform advanced studies (M‑mode, 2‑D, Doppler, Color Flow), prepare patients, obtain histories, and ensure high-quality images for accurate interpretation.

You’ll work with physicians to support ICAEL standards in a 40‑hour week with daytime hours. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, transesophageal capabilities, and excellent patient care are essential, along with

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of sonographic principles and techniques.
• Experience with transesophageal and congenital echocardiography.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures with measurements for accurate interpretation.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and correlate results with anatomy and function.
• Prepare patients, obtain history, and adapt imaging for diagnostic quality.
• Assist in transesophageal studies and sterilize procedures.
• Communicate findings to staff and maintain lab statistics.
