Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System's Nuclear Cardiology Department is seeking a Nuclear Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures in an inpatient setting in Gainesville. This full-time day shift position requires ARRT or NMTCB certification and BLS.

Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, ensuring safety, coordinating with imaging and cardiology teams, and maintaining patient records while delivering compassionate care to diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT or NMTCB certification; registry eligible within 12 months from date of hire
• Cardiology requires BLS certification
• Associates Degree or equivalent required; graduate of ARRT or NMTCB program

Responsibilities

• Operate all radiographic equipment per specifications and follow radiation safety practices
• Produce quality scintigrams and maintain department records
• Assess patient prep, review orders, coordinate with Imaging or cardiology staff
• Provide patient education and obtain consent; place EKG leads
• Meet productivity standards for wait times and turnaround
