Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Heart & Vascular department in Gainesville, GA. Under a Cardiologist, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures with independent judgement and ensure patient safety and quality imaging.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT or NMTCB, BLS, an associate degree or equivalent, and registry eligibility within 12 months. Part-time PRN position with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, registry eligible within 12 months from date of hire.
• BLS certification is required for Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment per specifications and follow safety practices.
• Produce quality scintigrams meeting department standards.
• Record patient information accurately in EMR and manage patient prep and documentation.
• Assess patients for exam orders, coordinate with Imaging or Cardiology nurses as appropriate.
• Assist in training of new staff and students.
