Job summary

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Gainesville, FL seeks a PET/SPECT Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic PET and SPECT procedures with radiopharmaceutical administration, patient care, and strict safety standards.

Position requires Florida licensure, ARRT(N) or NMTCB-CNMT, BLS/ACLS, and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology education. Some travel to Lake City is expected; full-time hours, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Licensed ARRT(N) or NMTCB-CNMT.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology education.

Responsibilities

• Operate SPECT and PET imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Prepare and inject radiopharmaceuticals for imaging procedures.
• Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report discrepancies.
• Prepare patient paperwork and ensure proper orders and documentation.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and confidentiality during procedures.
• Maintain equipment and clean exam rooms per protocol.
• Follow radiation safety standards and NRC/State requirements.
• Assist with stress testing protocols and EKG interpretation.
