Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform complex cardiac MRI procedures and high-field MRI imaging in Durham, North Carolina. You will screen patients for MR safety, assist with procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging and accurate documentation.

The role involves collaboration with cardiology and radiology teams, protocol development, and training of student technologists. A commitment bonus and relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must obtain ARRT or ARMRIT MR certification within 18 months of employment.
• Minimum two years’ experience as an MRI technologist.
• Level III requires 4+ years in the specialty modality of MR.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
• Assist cardiologist with MR procedures and perform high-quality MRI scans.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Prepare preliminary reports in collaboration with providers.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate scheduling.
• Mentor students and new technologists; participate in protocol development.
