Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a part-time Monitor Technician in Casper, Wyoming for the night shift. You will monitor 40-60 patients' cardiac rhythms, escalate abnormalities, and support the nursing team with ADLs and charting.

The role includes potential floor assistance as a Certified Patient Care Assistant to aid with mobility, hygiene, and nutrition. Wyoming Medical Center is a major inpatient facility with a strong cardiac program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA in state of practice is required.
• Must possess working knowledge of medical terminology, computer literacy and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous observation of monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors for assigned patients and alerts changes to clinical staff.
• Obtains calibrated rhythm strips per policy and maintains documentation; provides information to physicians and staff.
• Assists with activities of daily living to promote patient health and comfort.
• Collects patient data including vital signs and inputs/outputs per policy.
• Reports abnormalities to licensed professionals and communicates status to caregivers.
• Performs procedures delegated by licensed staff and assists with unit-specific procedures.
• Maintains a clean and stocked environment; provides general department support.
