Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The role entails performing angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures with full patient management before, during, and after the procedure.

You will work with a skilled team, scrubbing and assisting in device placements, administering contrast, and ensuring accurate records in RIS and hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology of at least 2 years duration.
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology license.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media into coronary arteries during catheterization under a cardiologist.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing and aiding in guide wires and catheters placement.
• Schedule and maintain orderly patient flow and post-procedural care.
• Maintain interventional supplies and enter patient data into RIS or hospital systems.
• Monitor hemodynamic and electrophysiology procedures and ensure safety.
