Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

This role performs angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, manages patients before, during, and after, and assists physicians with catheter and device placement while maintaining equipment and records.

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program (2+ years).
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology Technologist license.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media during cardiac catheterization as directed.
• Aids in positioning and manipulation of guide wires and catheters; assists physician.
• Maintains patient flow and pre/post-procedure care.
• Operates imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Manages equipment, supplies, and records in the department.
• Responds to on-call emergencies per department policy.
