MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join MedStar Franklin Square Hospital. The role performs angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures and manages patients before, during, and after the procedure.

The position requires MD Radiology credentials, ARRT, Maryland licensure, ACLS, and 2+ years in diagnostic/interventional radiology, with a $41.98–$71.68 hourly range and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology of at least 2 years duration.
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media into coronary arteries under Cardiologist guidance during catheterization.
• Assists physician, scrubs, and aids in guide wires and catheters; schedules patient flow.
• Maintains interventional and cardiac supplies, records, and inventory control.
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and electrophysiology/ablation procedures per policy.
• Pre- and post-procedural duties including tray prep, education, lab work confirmation, patient discharge instructions, and transport.
