Job summary

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Gainesville, FL seeks an Imaging Coordinator to manage administrative functions for Non-Invasive Services. You will contact patients, schedule exams, check in patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays and deductibles, and maintain patient charts in the EMR.

As part of the Clinical Services team, you will collaborate with staff to ensure timely patient care and protect patient confidentiality, while handling reception duties at the nuclear

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous clerical and/or administrative experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electronic medical records retrieval system, computers and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients daily to confirm and provide instructions for scheduled exams
• Schedule and/or re-schedule patient appointments according to established protocols
• Answer incoming calls to the department
• Provide normal test results to patients according to established protocols
• Provide reception services at the nuclear desk by checking in patients for their exam; verifying patient demographics, insurance and collecting co-pays and deductibles as indicated by the billing department.
• Verify patient’s insurance, obtain copay, calculate amount due, notify patient of out of pocket responsibility and collect payment due on the day of exam
• File patient documents into patient charts
• Works collaboratively with all team members and departments to ensure timely and efficient patient care
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy
