Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Cardiac ICU to oversee operations and patient care in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will coordinate care, serve as a clinical resource, and assist as a staff nurse when required.

The role requires an accredited nursing education, current RN licensure, and BLS certification. Two years of patient care experience are necessary, with supervisor experience preferred and a BSN recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or course completion within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years' experience in patient care is required.
• Supervisor experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas.
• Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed.
• Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager.
