Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Texas. The role includes leadership responsibilities, assessing and planning care, and guiding other nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license (or compact state license), a BSN is preferred, and current BLS and ARC/AHA certifications are required. Weekend/evening/night shifts and on-call status may occur.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state license, or valid temporary Texas license while awaiting permanent license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS and current ARC/AHA Healthcare Provider certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care aligned with facility policies and standards.
• Provide leadership and support to the healthcare team and guide nursing staff.
