Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking aRegistered Nurse leader to oversee care for patients admitted or treated for medical conditions and surgical procedures. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care while providing safe, competent services in line with facility policies and philosophy.

As a professional leader, you will support the healthcare team, promote patient-centered care, and coordinate with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (or compact state license) and BLS certification.
• BSN preferred; associate degree or diploma accepted.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; required training and reporting suspected issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures; supervise nursing staff to ensure safe, competent care.
• Provide patient-centered nursing care in accordance with policies and philosophy; lead and support healthcare team.
• Communicate with hospital staff and ancillary departments; address patient care concerns and resolve conflicts as needed.
• Possibly work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call status; uphold Service Excellence standards.
