Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities delegated by an RN, including vital signs, glucose measurements, and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Demonstrates flexibility, organization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced unit.
• Prioritizes tasks and coordinates with the RN/manager to manage unit workflow.
• Serves as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
• Answers calls politely and relays information to staff/family/patient.
• Performs pre-census and validates admissions/discharges as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
