Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medical-ICU, full-time night shifts. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care tasks, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a clean, orderly unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and record intake and output under supervision of an RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming and eating.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritize tasks and manage unit workflow in coordination with charge RN or manager.
