Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or National Certification.
• Operating Room orientation completed within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS current at employment.

Responsibilities

• Scrub patient for complex cardiac procedures including open-heart, hybrid, transfemoral, and robotic surgeries.
• Prepare and manage specialized cardiac instruments, implants, and devices.
• Assist with instrument setup, sterile field maintenance, and specimen handling per policy.
• Mentor students, techs, and RNs in cardiac scrub techniques and best practices.
