Job summary

The Cardiac First Assist position at University Hospitals Pain Management is part of the system's advanced cardiac surgery team, supporting exposures, hemostasis, and intraoperative tasks across complex procedures including transplant and robotic cases.

RNFA, Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant will be considered; cardiac OR experience is strongly preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, plus sign-on incentive and relocation support where applicable.

• RNFA, Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant will be considered.
• Cardiac OR experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs intraoperative exposure, hemostasis, and closure tasks to support cardiac surgeries.
• Assists cardiac surgery cases across the system, including emergencies and cath lab procedures.
• Complies with policies and PHI handling; follows orientation documentation.
• Provides regional call coverage for Cardiac Surgery and transplant programs.
