Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH seeks a Cardiac Surgical Assistant to join the UH Cleveland Medical First Assistant team. RNFA/PA/Surgical Assistant considered; cardiac OR experience preferred.

You will assist in various cardiac procedures across the system, including transplant coverage, with travel as needed. Competitive hourly rate plus incentive pay and an $8,000 sign-on bonus are offered, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN with Ohio license required; CNOR preferred.
• CNOR certification required for RNFA path; ACLS preferred within 6 months.
• Experience in cardiac OR and second call is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assists in exposure, hemostasis, and closure during cardiac procedures.
• Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to support the surgical patient.
• Travel to support transplant and regional cardiac surgery coverage as needed.
