Job summary

UVA Community Health seeks an Electrophysiology Registered Nurse Ambulatory to lead nursing care for cardiac patients in an ambulatory setting. The RN provides both clinical and non-clinical duties under supervision, coordinating with physicians to develop an individualized plan of care for patients with complex arrhythmia management.

The role emphasizes device knowledge, monitoring, programming, and re-programming of pacemakers/ICDs, along with patient and family education and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Cardiac experience in acute or physician practice setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required; reinstatement guidance if lapsed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and establish an authentic patient relationship.
• Collaborate with physicians to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Operate and interrogate implantable cardiac devices per protocols.
• Provide nursing interventions, medication administration, and patient transfers as needed.
