Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio seeks a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute, working with an experienced EP team and a broad referral network.

The role includes high-volume ablations, device therapy, lead extractions and weekly EP lab time, with academic collaboration opportunities and potential NEOMED faculty appointment. Board-certified/eligible in Cardiology and EP is required, with EP fellowship completion and Ohio licensure pursued.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.
• Completion of Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship training.
• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with lead extractions is preferred.
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 3.5 days in the Electrophysiology lab and 1.5 days outpatient clinic per week.
• Inpatient EP consult service approximately 1 week every 5 weeks.
• Shared weekend and holiday call with strong physician support.
• Cardiology fellows assist with consults and inpatient coverage.
• Opportunity for faculty appointment at NEOMED.
