Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio, seeks a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. The incoming physician will join a team of EP physicians and advanced practice providers delivering innovative, patient-centered cardiovascular care within an integrated health system.

The practice includes high-volume EP procedures, lead extractions, CRM device implants, and LAA occlusion devices, with a collaborative, busy office and strong referral network. Epic EMR is utilized.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.
• Completion of Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship training.
• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain licensure.
• Experience with lead extractions is preferred.
• Commitment to quality care in a patient-centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Involve high-volume EP procedures including complex ablations and device therapies.
• Inpatient EP consult service approximately 1 week every 5 weeks.
• Shared weekend and holiday call with physician support.
• Cardiology fellows assist with consults and inpatient coverage.
