Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform cardiac imaging, including echocardiograms, in a high-quality care setting at our Marietta facility. You will verify orders, gather histories, ensure patient safety, and provide preliminary findings as needed.

This full-time role requires excellent communication, the ability to work with a diverse health care team, and willingness to cover on-call, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills to interact with physicians, patients and staff.
• Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography, or graduate from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• ARDMS or equivalent certifications required upon hire; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify clinician orders and collect complete patient history; ensure proper patient identification.
• Perform cardiac imaging including echo exams and related procedures; provide preliminary findings when requested.
