Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our Echo Department. The position requires performing pediatric and adult cardiac imaging, including transesophageal and stress echocardiograms as needed, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule and rotating on-call.

The role emphasizes patient care, accurate imaging, and teamwork with physicians, nursing staff, and technologists. ARDMS certification and BLS are preferred/required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year echocardiography experience preferred.
• Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
• ARDMS/RCS/CCDS RDCS or equivalent certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult cardiac imaging including echocardiograms.
• Obtain history, follow lab protocols and communicate findings clearly.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy and comfort during procedures.
• Submit studies to PACS and coordinate with interpreting physicians.
• Restock, assist, and maintain echo department standards.
