Job summary

Northwest Health is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while obtaining high-quality images for physician evaluation.

The role collaborates with care teams, documents preliminary results in the EMR, and supports accurate interpretation by reading cardiologists. 1-3 years of echocardiography experience and RDMS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies, including 2-D imaging and Doppler recordings, following departmental standards and physician guidelines.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) ensuring patient safety and image quality.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort throughout procedures with proper positioning and monitoring.
• Documents preliminary reports and patient information accurately in the EMR while maintaining confidentiality.
• Verifies patient identity, orders, and consents prior to procedures.
