Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies with accuracy and patient safety at the forefront. You will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain 2-D, M-mode and Doppler images, and collaborate with cardiology teams to ensure timely, quality imaging and reporting in the EMR.

Minimum 1 year of experience required; RDMS preferred; BCLS within 7 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography required.
• Proficiency in 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler techniques.
• Ability to document results accurately in EMR and collaborate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies, including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler recordings.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) under physician guidance.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and work areas for patient care.
• Documents preliminary reports and patient information in EMR with confidentiality.
