Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an echocardiography technologist for per diem coverage. The role requires performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echo studies with contrast and strain imaging, while ensuring patient prep and data entry meets accreditation standards.

Applicants should bring extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, and be proficient with Philips systems, with the ability to perform mobile echocardiography and handle scheduling and PHI protection.

Qualifications

• Formal echocardiography program with didactic and scanning experience.
• English language proficiency at high school level.
• RDCS or RCS certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 CME hours in echocardiography over 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, Stress Echo and uses echo contrast and Strain.
• Optimizes studies using knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Prepares patients for all exams and enters preliminary findings.
• Maintains records and PHI per hospital policy; orders supplies.
• Assists with scheduling and mobile echocardiography as needed.
