Northwest Health - Porter in Valparaiso, IN is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies with careful attention to patient safety and comfort. You will work with physicians and the care team to produce accurate images and timely reports.

The role requires 1–3 years of echocardiography experience, proficiency in 2-D, M-mode and Doppler, and certification in RDMS/BCLS; RDCS/RCS preferred. Part-time position, benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography.
• Proficiency in 2-D, M-mode, and Doppler imaging techniques.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Experience using EMR for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Obtains stress echo and Dobutamine images within target times.
• Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) while ensuring patient safety.
• Documents preliminary reports and patient information in the EMR.
